I’m not sure if you can really go wrong with Seth Rogan. His laugh and smile is infectious and Hershel is a fantastic character. Overall enjoyable movie to throw on in the background. Don’t expect it to be some blockbuster.
Felt like they were creating 3D renders that they could resell to video game publishers and museums. I don’t understand why the same conflict was replayed over and over again. Blue kids see fake blue humans, blue kids tell blue parents, fake blue humans capture kids, blue parents come and kill fake blue humans, kids escape. I’m not kidding when I say I think this situation repeated five times. I actually got so bored I zoned out for significant portions of the fights. Sorta cool visuals; trash movie.
This movie was a lot better than I expected. The cross between heart wrenching desperation and comedic gold makes this movie fantastic. I’m sure it helps that Tom Hanks is one of the greatest actors of all time too; not to mention America’s Dad.
“So now I know what I have to do. I have to keep breathing. And tomorrow the sun will rise, and who knows what the tide will bring in.”
I’m not sure what I expected out of this movie. I left it on in the background while I was working on some other things and it was horrendous. I expect better from Kevin Costner.
Doggy doo-doo. I have not seen a worse movie in a while.
One of the best movies I’ve seen in a while. Emotional, action-packed, intriguing. Would recommend.
The mystery of not being a mystery is actually not a mystery.
Be it the complexities of time and space, the enjoyment of seeing other worlds, or the emotional acting of Matthew McConaughey, Interstellar is one of my favorite movies of all time.
I listened to this soundtrack for more hours than I care to admit. It’s motivating, dramatic, and surreal.
There’s something about biographical dramas that make me feel like I’m learning and relaxing at the same time. Even more, there’s something about sports dramas that motivate me like none other. Nelon Mandela’s unification of a nation through rugby is undeniable and inspirational. To go from imprisonment to dismantling apartheid in South Africa makes me speechless.
Also, Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon in the same movie? Second to none.
Why does this movie have a dark tint on every shot? Why did they cast nearly a dozen actors who have no emotions? Why is it presented in 1.33:1 aspect ratio? Why does Ben Affleck feel like a frumpy Batman?
Maybe a darker take on the superhero trend; maybe just a boring movie. I wish I could have these four hours back.
The Flash’s quick remarks makes this trite film at least somewhat digestible.
A lot funnier than I expected. Not sure why I expected much less from Chevy Chase or John Hughes. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? The Breakfast Club? Home Alone? This guy clearly knows what he’s doing.
A lot better than I expected. There’s something about historical fiction that I really adore; maybe its the concept of learning and relaxing at the same time. One quote really stuck with me though: “A wise man can learn more from his enemies than a fool from his friends”. Nothing quite like a 17th century Spanish proverb to wrap up a movie. Thanks Baltasar Gracián.
I wanted to like this movie. I really did. I have no idea what executive would greenlight this script because they probably deserve to be fired based on how little this movie made sense. Why let Keanu off the bus? Why is Sandra Bullock driving? Why didn’t they just disable the camera from the start?
Fantastic. I didn’t expect it to be as enthralling or moving as it was. Left me feeling unsatisfied, but that felt like the point. The acting, writing, and story is up there for one of my favorites of all time. Matt Damon plays the midwestern Dad like no one else.
Nothing quite like an Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher masterpiece. The dialogue is on point and the movement between court room and Zuckerberg’s past is seamless. The cast is also top tier. I will say, the film does seem to lose pace about sixty percent of the way through. Still, would highly recommend this to anyone with an appreciation for well written dialogue and a window into the mind of one of the most powerful people in the world today.
Solid movie. My expectations may have been too high, but the primary message of News companies profiting off of hysteria hit home.
